What is this community?
Goose Galaxy is a fan-built home for people who love Goose—their music, setlists, and the improvisational journey they take night after night. The profiles, comments, and contributions here exist so we can celebrate shows, swap honest enthusiasm, and connect as fans. We’re not affiliated with Goose in an official capacity; we’re a community united by shared appreciation of their music. By creating an account, you’re joining that spirit.
What membership is for
Joining isn’t just a login—it’s a way to take part: saving favorite songs, remembering shows you’ve attended, seeing your own personalized show stats and rarity tracking, commenting on content, adding reactions to others’ comments, and contributing to the archive.
You can also help build the site together—submit setlists from shows you’ve attended, contribute photo or video documentation, add song annotations, and help verify data accuracy.
Finally, enjoy ad-free browsing. Registered users who are logged in don’t see ads while browsing, so supporting the site through membership is a win-win. We ask you to use those features in the same spirit as the rest of these guidelines: be honest, be kind, and don’t use the community’s tools to spam, mislead, or make the space worse for anyone else. This creates a welcoming home for Goose fans to share their passion.
What you’re agreeing to
This site is for music, shows, and people who care about that stuff. By creating a profile, you agree to keep things respectful and on-topic. We’re not running a courtroom; we’re trying to keep the space good for everyone—including Goose and the people who show up here in good faith.
Be kind
Don’t bully, harass, threaten, or pile on. No slurs, hate speech, or targeting people for who they are. If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face at a show—or if you wouldn’t want Goose saying it to you in front of a crowd—think twice before you type it.
A simple frame: treat others the way you’d like to be treated, or the way you’d hope Goose’s community would treat you. Disagreement is fine; cruelty isn’t.
Examples of what not to do:
- Attacking other fans for their music taste or show attendance
- Making derogatory comments about people’s appearance, identity, or beliefs
- Posting repeatedly to provoke or harass someone
- Spreading rumors or false information about band members or other community members
Examples of good community behavior:
- Respectfully disagreeing about setlist preferences or song interpretations
- Helping newer fans understand the band’s history or catalog
- Sharing recordings or photos from shows
- Asking genuine questions about songs, tours, or performance details
Keep it real (not spammy)
Fake accounts, scams, relentless self-promotion, or anything that feels like noise instead of community doesn’t belong. Profiles, comments, and other content on the site are subject to these guidelines.
Don't:
- Create multiple accounts to artificially inflate engagement or deceive other users
- Spam profiles with constant promotional links
- Post the same message repeatedly across multiple pages
- Use the site to sell merchandise, tickets, or services unrelated to supporting Goose
- Impersonate other users or the site administrators
- Post misleading information about shows, setlists, or band news
Do:
- Contribute genuine content about Goose, shows you’ve attended, songs you love
- Share recordings, photos, and memorabilia from performances
- Respectfully correct inaccurate setlist information
- Engage in meaningful discussion about the band’s music
Help us keep it clean: reporting
You’re part of this. When something looks off, we’d rather you say something than assume someone else will.
A user’s interactions typically link back to their profile. Just click their name or profile image to see their profile.
When you’re logged in and viewing another member’s public profile, scroll to the Contributions section and use Community Alert → “Flag for review” when a profile looks spammy, misleading, or inappropriate. That sends it to the site admins for review. It’s there so we can spot problems faster—you’re not snitching; you’re helping keep the fan space healthy.
Content Guidelines
On-topic content: Posts, comments, and profiles should relate to Goose, their music, live shows, or the broader jam band/music community. Casual fan conversation is great; completely unrelated topics should go elsewhere.
Setlist submissions: If you contribute a setlist from a show, please be as accurate as possible. Include the venue, date, and any notes about unusual song selections, special guests, or technical details. We’ll verify and credit your submission.
Photos and videos: You can share concert recordings and photos from Goose shows. Please respect copyright—don’t post content that violates the band’s rights or other people’s intellectual property. If you recorded it yourself or have permission, you’re good.
Artwork and fan creations: Fan art, music remixes, lyrical analysis, and creative works inspired by Goose are welcome and encouraged. Just be clear that it’s fan-created, not official.
Ticket sales and trading: Direct personal sales between fans are fine (e.g., “I have an extra ticket for the Red Rocks show, message me”), but don’t use the site to run a commercial ticket resale business.
What can happen if guidelines are broken?
We try to be fair, but we don’t owe anyone a debate or a trial. If something is offensive, abusive, spammy, or harmful to the community, site admins may:
- Remove or edit specific content or profile material
- Hide or remove a profile from public view
- Suspend or delete an account
Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate removal of your access, your profile, or your contributions. We may take action without advance notice when we need to protect the site or other members.
We don’t guarantee that we’ll preserve your account or content if we have to remove you for breaking these rules.
Specific behaviors that may result in removal
- Harassment or targeted attacks on other users or band members
- Repeated spamming of content or links
- Sexual content, explicit material, or content sexualizing minors
- Hateful speech targeting people based on identity
- Repeated spreading of false information despite corrections
- Impersonation or identity fraud
- Copyright violation or intellectual property theft
- Off-topic disruption of discussions
Your choices
You’re not stuck. You can delete your own account anytime from your profile settings if you’re done here. Reporting is optional, but appreciated when you see behavior that breaks these guidelines. You can also edit or delete your own comments.
Special note: Respect for Goose and the band
While we encourage all kinds of fan discussion and even good-natured criticism, remember that Goose are real people. We ask that you:
- Avoid personal attacks on band members
- Respect their privacy and personal lives
- Understand that setlist choices, new material, and tour decisions are made for reasons we may not fully understand
- Don’t use the community to organize harassment or campaigns against the band or other fans
Goose has built an incredible community because they treat fans with respect. Let’s return that respect.
