About

Goose Galaxy is an independent, community-maintained resource dedicated to documenting Goose’s live performance history. We’re not affiliated with the band officially, but we’re passionate fans who believe deep concert data should be accessible, searchable, and well-organized.

Our Mission

To preserve and celebrate Goose’s improvisational live legacy by maintaining the most accurate, detailed, and searchable setlist database in the fan community, including links to Bandcamp for show purchases and a complete song database with annotations and notes.

What We Track

  • Complete setlists from every show with timestamps and song notes
  • Rare and unreleased songs that only appear sporadically
  • Live debuts so you can see when the band first played new material
  • Venue information including capacity, location, and historical significance
  • Performance trends showing which songs are tour staples vs. special rarities
  • Audio quality notes for taper community reference

How We Do It

Our data comes from multiple sources: setlist.fm records, fan-submitted setlists from attendees, taper archives, and social media. Every entry is researched and cross-referenced to ensure accuracy. When we find conflicting information, we mark it and welcome community input.

For Researchers & Music Scholars

Goose’s music is characterized by sophisticated compositional structures combined with extended improvisational passages. Tracking setlist evolution reveals patterns in how the band develops material, explores different song pairings, and adapts arrangements across seasons. Our database enables this kind of analysis—whether you’re writing about jam band culture, studying the band’s compositional development, or researching live music performance patterns.

Community & Ethics

This is a non-commercial fan project. We don’t profit from this site; we maintain it because we love the band and value having a centralized resource for show information. We respect:

– Artist copyright and intellectual property

– Taper community norms around trading and sharing

– Privacy of individual community members

– Accuracy over speed—we verify before publishing

How to Contribute

Found a setlist error? Attended a show not yet in our database? Have photos or video from a performance we’ve documented? We welcome community submissions. The more people contribute, the better our archive becomes.
