Great Blue is a progressive rock and jam quartet best known as the pre-Goose band formed by multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach. Goose fans will likely recognize several staples in Great Blue’s catalog. Fan-favorite tracks originally written and performed by Great Blue include “Jeff Engborg,” “Yeti,” “Doc Brown,” and “Pancakes,” all of which have since migrated to the Goose repertoire.
Great Blue originally formed during the members’ high school days and has been actively performing, recording, and touring together for over a decade. When Peter joined Goose in late 2017, Great Blue pivoted from being a full-time touring project to a part-time passion project. Rather than breaking up, the band functions actively whenever Goose is off-tour or on seasonal breaks.
